What Being a “Charity Partner” of the LA Marathon Means
The LA Marathon offers nonprofits a chance to make the best possible use of a world-class sporting event to increase awareness and raise funds for their organization. Voted the Marathon’s “Most Outstanding New Charity” in 2015, Westside German Shepherd Rescue is proud to be participating again in 2018, with the dedicated athletes of “Team Westside” raising funds on behalf of the shelter.
The LA Marathon does not charge additional fees for charity entries, and the charity entry is not subject to price increases. The LA Marathon provides support, guidance and marketing opportunities. Best of all, it does not collect any portion of funds raised — Westside German Shepherd Rescue keeps 100%!
In exchange, WGSR is responsible for establishing its own teams of participants for the Full Marathon and the LA Big 5K. All interested runners should contact Carla@runforwestside.com. Please show your support by joining our team and by spreading the word about this important fundraising event!
